Back in Evansville after a successful career in Sales and Management in the apparel industry in New York and Los Angeles, I am enthusiastic about this Business Alliance to support and amplify the voices of the Queer business community. As a Gay business owner, I believe it's crucial in this economy for our community to have the opportunity to choose businesses that truly embrace and support them. My goal is to help LGBTQ+ business owners gain more visibility and recognition as a important part of Southern Indiana's Economic landscape.

Even after coming out, it took me years to find Pride.  Self-acceptance can come particularly hard for people in marginalized groups. So when I started my own massage business, it was important to me that everyone, especially my LGBTQ+ community feel welcome and comfortable in my studio. I am proud to be a part of SoIN Pride Business Alliance and I'm excited to see where this can take our tri-state.

I think it’s important to be your true and authentic self. Unfortunately there are always going to be people that don’t accept what is different from themselves. SoIN Pride offers a way for people to find and support businesses and people that are welcoming and accepting of the LGBTQ+ community.  I believe we can grow personally and professionally with the right support and people around us.

I'm a transplant from Atlanta, GA. Ever since I moved to Evansville in 2014, I've been passionate about making it an attractive city to live for young, diverse professionals. Along with SoIN PBA, I'm an active member in other groups such as the Arts Council, because I want to be involved in the progress this city is making.

As a pastor of 35 years, I have seen first-hand how the institutional church and its oppressive doctrine has ostracized, traumatized, and victimized the LGBTQIA+ community. In retirement, I
am privileged to be a part of an exciting organization of Gay professionals and allies who seek to provide a welcoming, affirming, and friendly environment to support and equip local business owners and members. I hope to contribute the unconditional and accepting love of God/higher power that is the focal point of my ministry.
